For those of you who noticed, for the first year of the game I spelled Independent incorrectly. I screwed it up when the name was made, and just never caught it after that. Some of the threads in the game still bear the mark of my shame.
My name is Sean C. Henderson, and while I grew up in posh Gulf Breeze along the emerald coast in the Florida Panhandle, I'm now a resident of Reno, Nevada, a place that has no spring, deadly summers, and two things I find amazing that I never had growing up: mountains (the Sierras, to be specific) and snow!
I am 24 years old, and just a hop, skip, and jump away from finishing school and earning my English Degree. The education has been placed on hold due to family and financial matters, but I'm taking the time to just relax a little and enjoy things while I'm still young enough to enjoy them.
I originally got on board with All that Glitters back when Muse and I were merely players and the game belonged to a different storyteller. I believe this old game is still sitting on RpoL in the Inactive Games section of the Vampire category. Muse and I liked the idea of a Los Angeles setting that we took up running the game ourselves, even using some of the characters already established (like Prince Alex and O Neg) and giving them our own twist. We had hoped the ST might return, but he or she never did, and we made the game ours, choosing to pursue whatever stories we wanted to tell for all of our players.
I have aspirations to get into editing, and with some luck, I might be able to squeeze in a little freelance writing here and there. I am also keeping the career calendar open to related fields: journalism, broadcasting, public relations, and even teaching.
My experience with online roleplaying is varied and interesting, but I have finally settled on forum games being my favored method of online roleplaying. It comes across more like storytelling, allows for greater creativity than chat systems, and best of all, works well around a tricky schedule. I have classically gone by the online moniker Yossarin, a long-established character I've used for casual roleplaying at various places across the internet, and this is the first time I've adopted a different moniker, Thee Independent, and had it stick. Thanks for enjoying the game and helping us feel really good about what we're creating with everyone here.
Sorry to use my personal information as a history/shout-out to our cool players. Just couldn't keep quiet about it much longer.
