I just finished Eldward Albee's play "A Delicate Balance." It won the Pulitzer Prize in 1966 I think. The original cast had Hume Cronin and Jessica Tandy as a married couple. That would have been amazing to see. The play is interesting, but a bit out of my age range. All the characters are in their late forties/ fifties except one daugter in her thirties. I couldn't quite relate to the ennui of all those years.

That sounds great. I've had a fondness for works with a theme about aging and coping with the passage of time ever since I read Closing Time, Joseph Heller's sequel to his original Catch-22. Yossarian is no longer fleeing the war; in the sequel, he's trying to flee his inexorable march towards frailty, senility, and death. Is this screenplay one that can be taken up in a single sitting? I'll try to make it out to the library this weekend and see if I can dig it up.

Well, it's a stageplay for starters. And it's a little long for a stageplay, honestly. I probably runs something like 3 hours. But that's about how long it would take to read it (a benefit of reading plays).
